Get your ass to the mountains, then.
This old hotel is so cool. Somewhere I have pics of my old Ranger and the 500 in front of it.
Also, I managed to find my parody Gadsden decals so I put one on.
I don’t normally name my vehicles but I may have to give this guy a nickname. Old Dirty Hank. It’s old, it was made by Henry Ford’s company, and it won’t stop raining every damn day so I can wash him.

I ended up by that hotel once several years ago after getting totally lost on some dirt roads out there! Never really figured out where we were. I think Roosevelt stayed there once to fish?

The story behind it is interesting. This is the one they built to replace the original. The first one was burned down by a disgruntled stage coach driver who was drunk and was c onvinced the owners had told his wife to leave him.
A bit south of there is a short dirt road that will lead you back to the highway to Sedalia and that's the way I came back. It's a dirt road with a 15% grade, which was also pretty badly washboarded and made me clench my buttcheeks a bit when I went up it.

“Old” lol.
Seriously though, I miss those mountains so bad, my wife made me move back to Chicago and I hate it here.

Well, it is over ten years old. It’s getting there.
That sucks, man. I don’t think I’d ever be willing to leave. I’ve lived here nearly all my life. W e moved here in ‘79 when I was 4.
